山あいの川沿いに、500万円の家を買いました。

すべてはここから始まっています。

庭に使われていない生簀がありました。
山水を引いて、水を入れて、土と石と植物を入れた。 それだけで、生き物が勝手に集まってきました。

虫が来て、カエルが来て、イモリが来た。 川に降りれば足元にサワガニがいて、石の裏にはヤゴがいた。

ぼくなりの自然の楽しみ方は、サップでもなく、BBQでもなく、はたまた自然と一体になるとか、大自然を満喫するとか、そういう大げさなことじゃなくて。

足元にあるものを、ありのまま面白がる。

この感覚を服にしたくて、5MIL-STUDIOを作りました。

5MILの「5」は、500万の「5」です。

Mountain river valley. I bought a house for 5 million yen.

Everything started from here.

There was an unused fish tank in the yard.

I drew in mountain water, filled it, added soil, stones, and plants.
That was all it took—life began to gather on its own.

Insects came. Frogs came. Newts came.
Down by the river, freshwater crabs walked at my feet,
and under the stones, dragonfly larvae were hiding.

My way of enjoying nature isn’t SUP, or BBQ,
or anything grand like “becoming one with nature” or “immersing in the wilderness.”

It’s simply finding wonder in what’s right at your feet, just as it is.

I wanted to turn that feeling into clothing—
so I created 5MIL-STUDIO.

The “5” in 5MIL comes from the 5 million yen.
